1、 In terms of formability

    1) The wall thickness of the product is uniform, with no edge or corner waste, and no weld seams; Products with a wide range of wall thickness can be formed, such as polyethylene rotary molded parts, with a wall thickness range of 1-16mm. However, due to viscosity, it is difficult to form thick walled products. The rotary molding process is particularly suitable for molding plastic products with a thickness of 2-5mm.


    2) Usually only hollow or shell products can be produced, making it difficult to process solid products. Moreover, the surface condition of the product has a significant dependence on the surface of the mold cavity.


    3) The dimensional accuracy of rotational molding products is relatively low, usually within ± 5%.

2、 In terms of molding process

    (1) Suitable for molding large and extra large parts. Due to the fact that the rotational molding process only requires the strength of the frame to support the weight of materials, molds, and the frame itself, as well as the closing force to prevent material leakage, even when processing large and extra large plastic parts, there is no need to use very bulky equipment and molds. Therefore, theoretically speaking, products made using rotational molding technology have almost no upper limit in terms of size.


    (2) Suitable for the production of multiple varieties and small batches of plastic products - due to the simple structure and low price of the molds used for rotary molding, it is very convenient to change products.


    (3) Suitable for processing large hollow products with complex shapes, which cannot be compared to other molding processes;


    (4) Plastic products are easy to change colors. When it is necessary to change the color of the product, simply clean the molding mold.


    (5) The main disadvantage of rotary molding is that it consumes a lot of energy, as the rolling mold and mold frame need to undergo repeated heating and cooling during each molding cycle; The molding cycle is relatively long, and due to the fact that it mainly relies on static plastic to conduct heat, the heating time for rotary molding is long; High labor intensity and poor dimensional accuracy of products
